Clare “Mimi” Marie Gitz Bruning, a 97 year resident of New Orleans and lifelong Saints fan, passed away in her home, surrounded by loved ones, on August 23, 2016. She was under the loving and gracious care of Theresa Gains and Soyna Gettridge. Clare, preceded in death by her husband Carl and daughter Clara Bivalacqua, is survived by her sister Shirley G. Bruning, her grandson Matthew John Bivalacqua and his wife Crystal Green. She leaves behind her friends and family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at ST. CLEMENT OF ROME, 4713 Richland, Metairie, LA on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 12:00 Noon. Interment will be private.
