He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Lack, wife of Chris, and his grandson, James; mother, Brenda Fourroux Daeumer (Michael); father, Michael Joseph Russo (Gayle); siblings Gregory C. Russo (Sheree), Karen Russo (Dave), Pam Russo, Johnny Boudreaux (Marcia), Cheryl Riley (Bobby), Jeanne Taravella, and Mark Daeumer (Angel); nieces and nephews, Nathan Russo (Rose), Rachel Russo, Gerard Ascani (Jennifer), Anthony Raphael (Kim), Chad Raphael (Mary Ruth), John Paul Boudreaux, Robyn Brewer (Ben), Sarah Rieger (Ross), Meghan Egdorf; cousins, Natalie Branighan, Michelle Fourroux, Andre Fourroux, Nicki Fourroux, Tom Branighan; great nieces and great nephews, Tina, Nathan, Eli, Luna, Devon, Alyssa, Campbell, Thomas, Caroline, and Ryleigh; long-time friends, Robert Arceneaux, Mike Coleman (Casey), Edgar Gonzalez (Brittani), and Lazaro Suarez (Mariela); and many other close friends and family members.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry and Claudia Burg Fourroux and Ignatius and Josephine Stechmann Russo; uncles, Robert Petersen, Henri Fourroux, Jerry Russo; cousins, Beth Petersen and David Petersen; nephew, Sheldon Russo.
He was a Certified Residential Appraiser. He was a member of the Men’s Club at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Porsche Club of America, and was involved in various local organizations for appraisers and real estate in the community. Chris was also a former board member of Lafreniere Park Chairing the Uncle Sam Jam. Most importantly, Chris loved spending quality time with his grandson, daughter, son-in-law, and family. He loved traveling and spending time outdoors. His hobbies included Nascar, car racing, trains, watching football, and woodworking. Chris was an eternal optimist. He was adventurous, spontaneous, analytical, fun loving, and sometimes referred to as “Good Times Chris”.
Please join family and friends in celebrating Chris’ life on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 105 Bonnabel Blvd Metairie, LA 70005. Visitation will begin at 10:30AM followed by mass at 12:00PM. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
