Christian Hillary Jones, Sr.

Christian Hillary Jones, born in New Orleans, died at his home in Mandeville on Tuesday December 13, 2022, at age 42. He graduated from De La Salle High School and received a Master of Architecture Degree from Savannah College of Art and Design. While there, he gained hands on experience in historic renovation through several university active building projects, which fueled his constant fascination with design. After working for several local architectural firms, he formed his own company called Jones Design Build, Inc.

Christian lived for his family and friends. He was always there for anyone who needed him. His dry sense of humor and intellect was appreciated by his friends. He will be missed by many people whose lives he impacted. He is survived by his two children Marie-Elise Susan Jones and Christian Hillary Jones, Jr., who were the apples of his eye and who he adored with all his heart. His greatest joy was being their father. They were his life. No children could have had a better caring father. He is also survived by his parents, Calvin Palmer Jones, Jr. and Diane Hufft Jones; a brother Calvin Palmer Jones, III and his wife Joellynn, and their three children Kayla Nicole, Elizabeth Marie, and Calvin Palmer Jones, IV; his fiancé Jenna Kaye Thornsberry, and her two children Olivia (Livie), and Amelia (Ash); and many aunts and uncles and close cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, located at 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA. Visitation will be held 10:00am-12:00pm, followed by a Mass at 12:00pm.
