Charlotte Barzon Provost passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2014. She was 72 years old. Beloved wife of Felix William Provost. Mother of Cynthia Provost, and Catherine Provost. Sister of June Partman, and the late Carolyn Barzon Rodney, and Charles Barzon, Jr. Daughter of the late Charles Barzon, Sr. and Betty LaFargue Barzon.
Charlotte attended Xavier University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree and teaching certificate. She taught typing and accounting at Warren Easton Fundamental Senior High School, and was a secretary for St. Peter Claver Catholic Church. She attended St. Luke’s Episcopal Church and St. Martin Episcopal Church.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 9:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, www.stjude.org.
