It is with heavy hearts that we announce Chans Anthony Tassin passed away on February 27, 2020 at the age of 24. Those who knew Chans, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives. Chans was the son of Kim de La Barre Albritton (married to Nathan Albritton) and Jason Lee Tassin, Sr. (married to Renee Tassin), father of Cayden Anthony Pecoraro and Liam James Tassin, brother of Stephanie Tassin Noto (married to Jordan Noto) and Jason Lee Tassin, Jr. (Paige Furbush), step brother of Rayleigh Jea Albritton and Rylan Mae Albritton, grandson of Pierre FV de La Barre IV, Georgia Collison de La Barre, Jean Ann Tassin, and the late Venix J. “Leeroy” Tassin, Jr., nephew of Margot Desiree de La Barre (married to Christian Delcroix), Georges Alexandre Volant de La Barre, Venix J. Tassin III (married to Tiffany Tassin), and Catherine Tassin Candebat. He is also survived by the mothers of his children, Caitlin Pecoraro and Jessica Crawford, as well as numerous cousins, relatives, and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans, on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 3 PM. Visitation will begin at 12 PM. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories.
