Cathleen P. Ward

Cathleen Patricia Ward passed away surrounded by her brother & sister and loving family on August 11, 2022 at East Jefferson Hospital in Metairie, LA at the age of 59. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Normalee Ward and Donald F. Ward DDS. Cathleen is survived by her brother, Donald F. Ward Jr. (Cheryl) and Darleen W. Wegman; her nephews Donald Ward III, Taylor Wegman (Kaitlyn), Dustin Ward, Blake Wegman, Cole Wegman, and her niece Alyssa Wegman. She also had a great-nephew Parker Jameson Wegman and her great niece Audrey Rose Wegman. She was born on August 13, 1962 in New Orleans, LA. She graduated from St. Louis King of France Grammar School in 1976 and St. Michaels High School in 1980. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in New Orleans where she assisted in the Childrens Liturgy Ministry, a member of The Marian Sodality & then also a member of the Vincention Lay Missioners. Cathleen loved Rock and Roll (the Bucktown Allstars were “her boys”), and country music. She loved to dance, care for her nieces & nephews, play Yahtzee with her family and friends. Jane Tonglet was her lifelong friend. Visitation will be Thursday, August 18, 2022, from 9 AM – 12 PM with a High Mass officiated by Fr. Lance Campo to follow at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124.
