Catalina "Cathy" Ferrer Mullen

Catalina “Cathy” Ferrer Mullen also known affectionately as “Mama Moon” passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023. She was a resident of Metairie, Louisiana. Cathy was a first-class world traveler and has visited every continent on Earth except for Antarctica. She loved to spend time with her kids, grandchildren, daughter in-law, and friends. She loved to travel the world, play cards, shopping with her granddaughters, tea parties, lunch with friends, crafting, gardening, sunset cruises on the party barge, and Thursday Board Meetings with her boys.

She is survived by her beloved children Shane A. Mullen (Stacy), Scott A. Mullen, and Ryan P. Mullen, as well as numerous grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Catalina is preceded in death by her husband Girven A. Mullen, and her parents Jose Juan Ferrer and Bertha Noemi Ferraez Ferrer.

Relatives, friends, and employees of Moon’s Towing Service, Inc are invited to attend a Funeral Mass in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 1:00p.m. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m.
