Cassie loved art and creating unique and soulful crafts only to give them always to the ones she loved. Her heart was full of trust, kindness, and a yearning for living life on her own terms. She bravely fought a lifelong battle with lupus (SLE) and the daily obstacles her symptoms and illness presented. She never gave in, and never gave up doing the things she loved to do. Cassie had a way with children and animals, and loved her parents, brothers, and extended family and friends. She loved anyone who loved her! Complications from her lupus reached her weakened heart, resulting in Cassie passing from this life on Friday, September 30, 2022, five days after her 19th birthday.
Cassie was preceded in death by her birth mother, Darcy Lee Clark; grandparents, Frank Charles Myers, Sidney McDonald, Robert Clark, Deloris S. Long, and William F. Long; great uncle, Ronald Myers; uncle, Ron Dawkins; and aunt, Brenda Clark.
She will be forever remembered by her parents, Kelley and Eric Long; brothers, Justin Harbison and William Dawkins Long; sisters-in-law, Asha Harbison and Jenna Bruno; grandmother (“Nanny”), Dorothy Dawkins Brasfield; uncles, Frank Charles Myers, Jr. (w.
