Carmel Elaine Doran Triche passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 24, 2018. She was 93. Carmel was the wife of the late Raymond Triche and is survived by loving daughters, Patricia Triche Wrubleski (Joseph) and Suzanne Triche Winter (Marvin); cherished grandchildren, Zachary Wrubleski (Ruth), Alyssa Winter Schexnayder (Jonathan), Katie Wrubleski Blish (Nicolas), Raymond Winter (Courtney), and Michael Wrubleski; and beloved great-granddaughter, Lucille Wrubleski. Carmel was the daughter of the late Eugene James Doran and Mary Elizabeth Cooke Doran and the sister of the late, Catherine J. Doran, Eugene J. Doran, Jr., Hugh H. Doran, Sr., William D. Doran, Sr., John O. Doran, Sr., and Brother Doran. She is also survived by one brother, Raymond C. Doran, Sr. and many nieces and nephews. Carmel was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Angela Merici Parish. She was beloved by her daughters and grandchildren, blessing them with many happy memories and a lasting example of faith, hope and love. Always kind and compassionate, she put her family’s needs and happiness before her own and was always there to lend her support and guidance. Carmel loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great granddaughter. She was a graduate of Francis T. Nichols High School and Soule Business College. She was employed as an administrative assistant, and retired as a civilian, from the U.S. Coast Guard. Mrs. Triche was born and reared in New Orleans and was a resident of Metairie. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Rev. Beau Charbonnet, Rev. Patrick Carr, and Mrs. Alma (Puddin) McNamara of St. Angela Parish for their nourishing spiritual care. The family greatly appreciates the loving and compassionate care provided by her nurturing caregiver, Esther Ward and Notre Dame Hospice caregivers Nurse, Deborah Chapman, Azena Rodney, and Chaplain Sister Paula Derise, O. Carm. The family deeply appreciates the prayerful support of Sr. Gioan Linh Nguyen, the Daughters of St. Paul and our loving family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass held at St. Angela Merici Catholic Church, 901 Beverly Garden Dr, Metairie, LA 70002, on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at 12pm.
