Carla Jean Jones

Carla Jean Jones passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the age of 53. Carla was born on May 6, 1963 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Glynne Morgan Jones Jr. and Edith Starvars Jones. She was an electronic equipment repairwoman in the United States Navy and was a professional vocalist. Carla was preceded in death by her parents and her nephew, Joshua Randall Bergeron. She is survived by her daughter, Jante Cheri Langan; her sister, Valerie Jean Jones-Coats; brother, Thomas Wayne Jones; grandchildren, Eden Isabella Langan, Berlin Nicolette Langan; her nieces Natalie Elizabeth Jones, Kristel Dawn Plaisance and Misty Dawn Bishop; nephews Johnny Carl Bishop Jr. and Roy Joseph Plaisance; grandnieces Brooke Elaine Plaisance, Kamryn Marie Bishop, Brooklyn Avery Bishop; her grandnephews Joshua Randall Bishop, Mark Joseph Plaisance, Anthony Joseph Veret; close friends, Kurt Bellow and Savanah Bellow. Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 2 pm in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans. Visitation will be held prior to the service and will begin at 12 pm.
