Carl G. Jacobs passed away peacefully at home on February 27, 2024. He was born in New Orleans to the late Edward Adrian Jacobs, Sr. and Louise Schulingkamp Jacobs. Carl was an avid sportsman who loved hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Carpenter’s Union, Local 632, and cherished his career as a firefighter for the New Orleans Fire Department. Carl was the beloved husband of Caron Andrews Jacobs for the past 47 years and the devoted and loving father of Cristin Louise Jacobs. He is survived by his brother Bruce Jacobs (Gail), sister Rhonda Jacobs Wyatt (Jeff), and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Marlene Hecker Jacobs, and brother Edward Adrian Jacobs, Jr.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Friday, March 8, 2024 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans. Visitation begins at 12:30 p.m. followed by mass at 2:00 p.m. A private burial will follow.
