We are sad to announce the passing of Bruce Mark Quigley, Sr. who died peacefully in his home on December 17, 2022 at the age of 66. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, the late Edwin Eugene Quigley, Jr. and Dorothy Arnold Quigley.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Quigley, and his two children, Pamela Quigley and Bruce Quigley, Jr. (Stephanie), and his stepson, Douglas Bray. He is also survived by many grandchildren and a few great grandchildren. He also left behind Vader, his loyal furry friend who is now missing his favorite person.
Bruce was the youngest of four children. He will be missed by his siblings, Gail Quigley Scheuermann, Edwin Quigley, III, and Tyrone Quigley.
Bruce graduated from Archbishop Rummel High School, then began his career at Southern Pacific Railroad. He later went on to serve in the Navy Seabees. He finally retired as an electrician.
Bruce was a man who loved to watch Westerns. He also loved his New Orleans Saints and the LSU Tigers. Bruce also had the heart of a fisherman and could not wait to catch the next “Big One”. Although he was born and raised in Metairie, Louisiana, his heart lived in Kiln, Mississippi at a place he called “Happy Times”.
There will be a celebration of his life on January 26, 2023 at 5:30PM at Vineyard Church, 4340 Sal Lentini Parkway, Kenner, LA 70065. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bruce’s name to the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency (LOPA).
