Brian was born in Metairie, Louisiana, on October 4, 1971 to Donald Clements and Karen Tschantz Clements. Brian graduated from Archbishop Rummel High School in 1989. He was a proud member of the Rummel Raiders football team, playing the offensive guard position.
Brian went on to study Business Administration at the University of New Orleans, where he joined Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, and graduated in 1997. He started his first job as a Physical Education teacher in 1999, beginning a nearly 25-year career in education.
Brian is survived by his beloved wife, Hope Williams Clements; children, Karl, Matthew, Jacob, and Rachel, and their mother, Rebecca; step-children, Katelyn McNeal (Nathan), Dominic Barras, and Eliana Barras; parents, Donald and Karen Clements; sister, Corinne Clements-Russo (Shannon); as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Brian is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Rosemary Clements, and maternal grandparents, Eugene and Mildred Tschantz.
Brian enjoyed traveling with his wife and taking bike rides or evening walks together. His children, Karl, Matthew, Jacob, and Rachel, will forever cherish their memories of their dad. He could always be counted on to help with school projects and math homework. He loved spending time with his family on trips to Navarre Beach and Disney World, and going on fishing trips to Grand Isle. He was always up for movie marathons and playing frisbee on the golf course.
Brian was an avid fan of Tulane football and loved watching games with his father and sons. Always a fan of friendly competition, especially with his sister, Brian spent many evenings with his family playing cards or trivia games after Sunday dinners at his parents’ house.
Brian will be remembered for his kind and gentle nature, as well as his humor and wit, and his devotion to his family. He will be missed beyond measure.
Brian was a man of strong faith and believed that Jesus Christ was his savior. Until his last breath, Brian spoke of his deep love for Jesus and remained a faithful child of God until the end. Services will be held at Lake Lawn Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, Louisiana 70124, on Saturday, August 5th. Visitation will begin at 9am, service at 11am, with a private interment to follow.
