She was preceded in death by her parents, Van Allen Forbes and Beverly Demourelle Forbes; daughter, Amy Celeste Jay.
She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, William Stafford Jay; son, Brian Forbes Jay; daughter, Alison Jay LaBauve (Jeff); beloved grandchildren, Sarah, Zachary, Alex, and Leah LaBauve; sister, Carol Barcenas (Ronnie); and niece, Stacey Yetsko (Chris).
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m.
