Betty Ruth Nolan

Betty Ruth Davis Nolan, known to her family and friends as “BeeDee”, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at the age of 90. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Warren J. Nolan. She is the daughter of the late Dr. Russell and Ruth Davis. Mother of Russell P. Nolan and Warren Davis Nolan. Grandmother of Amanda Nolan. Born in Hughes, Arkansas, she is a graduate of Ward Belmont High School in Nashville,TN and Newcomb College in New Orleans. She was a member of Orleans Club N.O. She and her husband enjoyed sailing and socializing as active members of the Southern Yacht Club. Betty was an athlete in her high school years, playing basketball and swimming. She was also a lifeguard and water safety instructor. She was a gifted vocalist and member of the Tulanians. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Service at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, on Monday, January 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be privately held at a later date.
