Bayard J Dupuy

Bayard Joseph Dupuy, 89, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2015 in Metairie, Louisiana. Bayard was born in New Orleans in 1925. He attended Loyola University where he obtained an Associate’s Degree in Accounting and went on to work many years at United China and Glass Company. Bayard was in the United States Navy during WWII. After his military service, he met his wife Joyce, and they were married for 65 years.

Bayard is survived by his children, Michael B. Dupuy (Nancy), Thomas “Tommy” J. Dupuy (Nona), and Jennifer Dupuy; grandchildren Jason (Melinda), Shelly, Chrissy, Jeffrey, Bryan, and Lauren; and sisters Lois Frederick and Margaret Ficaro.

Bayard is preceded in death by his parents Vivian Bayard Dupuy and Athanase “Arthur” Dupuy; beloved wife Joyce Lange Dupuy; and brothers Harold Dupuy and Milton Dupuy.

Bayard was a lifelong LSU and Saints fan who loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the World War II Museum in New Orleans.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 9:00 a.m.
