Anthony Joseph Macheca passed away on November 28, 2016 at the age of 58. Son of the late Victor and Ivy Macheca. Beloved brother of Tessie (Ben) Toledano, Charles and Billy Macheca and the late Victoria Thompson and Tommy Macheca. Although Tony did not have children, nephews Devin Flattmann and Tommy Webb and neice Angel Thompson-Askew were like his children. He was deeply loved by a host of nieces, nephews, family, friends and pets. Tony worked in the pest control business and enjoyed fishing and spending time with family. He was always compassionate to those in need, including animals. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 12:00 p.m.
