Anne Collier Pratt passed away on June 11, 2015 in Queretaro, Mexico at the age of 75. Anne was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on March 3, 1940. She was the daughter of the late Gerald O’Conner Pratt and late Clara Fitzpatrick Pratt. Anne is survived by her sons Lucien Maurice “Reese” Provosty, Jr. and Gerald Pratt Provosty (Nicole), 5 grandchildren, Timo Provosty, Elise Provosty, Eugenie Provosty, Alexandre Provosty, and Nicholas Provosty. She is also survived by her sister Maria Pratt Viguerie, nephews Michael Viguerie and David Viguerie, her niece Anne Villere (Sandy), and grand nephews and niece Peter Viguerie, Marianne Villere, Saint Villere and Collier Villere. Anne graduated high school in 1958 from Louise S. McGehee School and attended Newcomb College, where she was Kappa Kappa Gamma. In 1960, she reigned as the Queen of Proteus. Anne was a successful business person, having bought and sold her own real estate brokerage company, developed and built commercial properties, opened a retail import/export business, Anne Pratt Design, and established herself as an award winning jewelry designer. Anne was an aesthetic at heart with a natural gift for interior design. Anne had many hobbies throughout her life, including achieving 12 scuba diving certifications, collecting art and antiques, and raising many dogs and cats. She was a lover of life, people, animals, and beautiful things. Most of all Anne loved her family and friends, of which she had many. Her pets were loved on level with them all. The family will be eternally grateful to Anne’s devoted friends in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico for their loving care and affection. A funeral mass will be celebrated by Father Edwin Gros on Thursday, June 18 at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 6367 St. Charles Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70118, with visitation beginning at the church at 9:30 am. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Metairie Cemetery. Memorial donations to Feed the Hungry of San Miguel at www.feedthehungrysma.org would be gratefully accepted.
