Andrew Francis Pearce age 58 of Irving, Texas passed away peacefully on October 19, 2016. He was born to Dr. Charles W. and Dorothy Del. Pearce on June 9, 1958 in New York, NY. Both his parents preceded him in death along with his brother, Charles Pearce, Jr. and his Aunt, Rose Hecht. Andrew graduated High School in 1977 from Metairie Park Country Day School in New Orleans, LA and obtained a B.A. from Columbia University in New York City in 1982. Andrew grew up in New Orleans and moved back there after college and resided there until Hurricane Katrina when he moved to Irving, TX. Andrew was a pipe and cigar aficionado and had a love for music, antique guns, hunting, and for history, particularly military and art. He was a member of The Society of Mayflower Descendants and The Sons of the American Revolution, the George Washington Chapter. Survivors include siblings, John Pearce and Margaret Pearce; step-mother, Patricia Pearce; step-sister, Leslie Culver and husband Justin; niece, Andrea Myer and husband Logan; nephew, Roger Pearce and wife Ginny; friend Stephanie Harding; great-nephew, Charles Pearce; great-nieces, Winslow Myer and Lorelai Pearce; step niece and nephew, Ella and Meritt Culver; and several cousins. Andrew's family is very grateful to Karen Valteau-Williams and her sister Florence Green for their nearly 20 years of dedication, love, support and assistance to Andrew. A Memorial Service was held at10:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 25th at Chism-Smith Funeral Home. His ashes will be inurned in Metairie Cemetery on Thursday, November 3rd at 12:00 noon.
