He loved getting to know people and always asking the right questions. In his early life, Alvin traveled the world as a merchant marine seeing new countries and meeting new friends everywhere he went. Like a true New Orleanian, Alvin spent much of his time indulging in good food, had an ear for good music, and never missed a Saints game. He enjoyed photography, fishing, and boating in his spare time. Coffee on the porch in the morning was a part of his daily routine. Alvin was an avid storyteller and endless list maker. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
At Alvin’s request, the family will not be hosting a formal service. They will be having a private event to honor his memory.
