Alice Abbott Roth

Alice Abbott Roth, age 97, was born on February 9, 1923 in Tela, Honduras and passed away peacefully on January 16, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home in Harahan, LA. Alice was passionate about gardening and animals.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Elizabeth Abbott, her husband, Richard L. Roth Sr., her sister, Margaret Hope Howard (late Timothy), and her daughter, Shelley Roth Coppett (late Kyle). Alice is survived by her sister, Beverly Walsdorf (late Jules), her brother, Paul Abbott Jr. (Claudine), her sons, Richard L. Roth Jr. (Pamela), Herbert J. Roth II (Melissa), and Harry M. Roth (Angelique), four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 11:30am, followed by a Memorial mass at 12:30pm, at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church at 6425 West Metairie Ave. in Metairie, LA 70003. Burial will be at 2pm at Metairie Cemetery 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, LA 70124. Alice will be buried alongside her husband in the G.V. DelCorral tomb in section two of the cemetery.
