Alejandra Del Rosario Orellana-Contreras was born in New Orleans on December 22, 1983 to Francisco Dimas Orellana and Mariavictoria Contreras-Orellana. She was raised Catholic and went on to pursue her passion for photography. She passed away on March 22, 2020 at the age of 36.
Alejandra Del Rosario was a Disney girl, who could recite most movies while watching them. She had a love for music, like no other. She was the heartbeat of the family, truly the one who could correct you in a way that would give you nothing but love. Family vacations was one of the biggest pleasures this world gave her, especially beach trips with Lariza, a pair that shared everything. The two loved taking the kids to the Zoo. When her son, Nathan, was born, he became her life. He became the only thing she lived for, for that is what life is. He was the love of her life! Then Lindsay was born, her niece/daughter, as she would say. She filled a spot in Alejandra’s life that was fit for a Princess. Alejandra’s latter years of life hit hard, as mostly spent in the hospital, battling illnesses. Her mother never left her side, even to retire early and her father supported her with whatever she needed. In her final weeks, her oldest sister, Gloria, would go to the hospital every day to be with her. As a united family, it was then when we came to understand, she was the true representation of what Love is. Alejandra was a force to be reckoned with, and a woman that did nothing but united people in this world.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Adan Contreras and Antonia Contreras.
Alejandra was survived by her parents, Francisco Dimas Orellana and Mariavictoria Contreras-Orellana; son, Nathan Alejandro Orellana; sisters, Larizaantonia Orellana and Gloria Elvira Orellana Robin; brother, Franciscoadan Orellana-Contreras; niece, Lindsay Adan Kruger; and brother-in-law, Brian Kruger.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Earl Teal and Kevin Kirkpatrick.
