Luz Marina Gonzales, 63, of Norwich, Connecticut, passed away on November 20, 2023. She was born on June 25, 1960, in Lima, Peru, and at the young age of 19, she ventured to the United States in pursuit of a better life.
Luz was a remarkable woman who dedicated her life to her family. Luz was a loving mother to her two sons, Adam and Andrew. As well as a loving grandmother to her granddaughter Giuliana. She worked tirelessly to bring the rest of her family to the United States.
A highly intelligent and adventurous individual, Luz had a passion for travel, immersing herself in different cultures around the world. She firmly believed in the value of education and pursued a degree in finance to provide for her family. Luz also found solace in nature, enjoying hiking and exploring. Her love for music and dance was evident throughout her life, as she pursued ballet, flamenco, and oriental dancing, attending numerous concerts and music festivals.
Luz was a spiritual person who embraced the power of love and positivity. She had a deep sense of awareness and appreciation for her surroundings, always looking at life with authenticity and a positive mindset.
Luz had a successful career as a Retirement Consultant at Lincoln Financial Group. Her expertise and dedication helped many individuals plan for their futures.
Luz is survived by her two sons, Adam and Andrew Maynard, her mother Teresa Gonzales, her siblings Ana Maria Gonzales, Rocio Goode, Cesar Gonzales, Dany Gonzales, and her granddaughter, Giuliana Maynard. She was preceded in death by her father, Maximo Gonzales.
Luz Marina Gonzales will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, determination, and positivity will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.
