He was born on June 13, 1966, in New London, the son of Alice Rookard of New London and the late Jehu H. Rookard.
Jehu was an electrical engineer and earned his Bachelor's Degree at Cornell University, and his Master's Degree at Syracuse University. He enjoyed photography, basketball, baseball and was an avid reader.
In addition to his mother, Jehu is survived by his sisters, Gail McKissick and her husband Tommy of Oakdale and Linda Rookard-McGill of Ledyard; nieces and nephews Arlan Eleazer, Ian Malik McKissick, Peyton McGill and Brianne McGill.
All services will be held privately.
