Idell Herman

She was born on February 22, 1919, in Lexington , Miss. , the daughter of Mr. William Wright and Mrs. Minnie Allen Wright.

She was the widow of Alfred W. Herman.

Mrs. Herman retired in 1980 from Americana Furniture where she was employed as an inspector. She also retired after many years from Thermos Bottle Company in Norwich , CT. She was an active member at Madry Temple Church in New London.

She is survived by her sisters Etta Horton of Concord, NC and Tazelle Wright of Detroit , MI and many neices, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Maurice Herman; her siblings Claude Wright, Luke Wright, Cornelius Wright, Eleanor (Nina) Brown, Ailene Greene and Ethel McCann.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 27th at 12 noon at Madry Temple Church , 25 Manwaring St. , New London . Calling hours will be held for two hours prior to the service from 10am-noon. Burial will be private.
