Erma Nina Coons

Amston- With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Nina Erma Coons on December 3, 2024. Nina passed peacefully in her home in Hebron, CT, at the age of 60. She was born on September 6, 1964, and throughout her life, she exemplified love, care, and an unshakable generosity of spirit.

Nina is survived by her beloved daughters, Tabitha Reyes and Shauna Raymond, her cherished grandchildren: Alisia, Jaden, Donald, Aaliyah, Julianna, Adrian, and Evelynn, and her partner, William Raymond, And the fathers of her daughters, Martin Reyes and John Raymond. All who stood by her side and shared in her joys and struggles. She also leaves behind her siblings: Yvonne McClintock of Canterbury, Alice Morse of Waterford, and John Coons of Norwich.

She is predeceased by her loving parents, Ruby Bell Lambertson-Coons and Frederick Raymond Coons, as well as her brothers, Bernard Lee and Frederick Raymond Coons Jr., and her sister, Diane Hayward.

Nina faced significant struggles in her life but her strength and resilience shown through. Even in the face of these challenges, Nina remained one of the most compassionate, selfless, and loving individuals you could ever meet. Her capacity to care for others never wavered, and she inspired everyone around her with her ability to give so much of herself, even when she was fighting her own battles.

She dedicated her life to caring for others, her home and heart were always open to those in need.

Known for her spunk, vibrant personality, and sense of humor, Nina’s legacy lives on in the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the laughter she inspired. Her humor, strength, and warmth will be shared for generations to come.

Nina had a charitable soul and a heart of gold who will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
