Carolyn B. Dean

Ms. Dean was born on October 10, 1940 in Newark, NJ to William and Carolyn Bittman. She was a former employee of Benny’s Home & Auto Store and retired after many years at Toys ‘R’ Us. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, bowling, Bonco and taking care of her family. She was very fun-loving, warm, and a caring friend and “Yaya” to all.

Ms. Dean is survived by sons, Henry (Hank) Dean II and Steven Dean; daughter, Lynn Marie Dole; beloved grandsons, Jesse Dean and Nicholas Dole; brothers, William Bittman II of Denver, CO, John Bittman of Colchester, CT, George Bittman of Davenport, FL; sister, Jeanette (Jean) McCormick of Manchester, NH.

She is predeceased by her husband, Henry Dean as well as her parents and sister, Ellen Bittman.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 12:00 PM at Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home, 181 Ocean Ave. New London, CT 06320. An hour of visitation will be held prior to the service at 12:00 PM. Burial will take place following the service in St. Mary Cemetery, New London. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Conquer Cancer Foundation at conquer.org.
