Bertha G. Rogers

She was predeceased by her husband F. Douglas Rogers, a son Douglas C. Rogers, son-in-law Wendell C. Peabody, Jr., her grandson Charles Douglas Peabody and her parents Oscar and Laura Collins.

She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Peabody, a special cousin Raymond "Skip" Peabody, her friend Emma Corcoran, and her feline friend Mickey. She was a terrific mother and grandmother!

The former Mrs. Rogers attended the former Jordan School and former Williams Memorial Institute in New London. She married Francis D. Rogers and moved to the family home on Great Neck Road in Waterford.

Mrs. Rogers was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Goshen Fire Department.

Her daughter wishes to thank Bayview and its staff for the excellent care and kindnesses her mother received.

A funeral service will be held tomorrow, Tuesday at 11am at Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home, 181 Ocean Ave., New London. Burial will follow in Jordan Cemetery, Waterford.
