Warren Edward Thomas

NEW IBERIA – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Warren Edward “Moon” Thomas, age 48, at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Fr. John G. Breaux will officiate at the service. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Monday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Tuesday until service time.

A resident of New Iberia, Mr. Thomas passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware, Ohio, while visiting his parents and siblings. Warren suffered with cancer for many years.

Warren was employed by TriDrill in Broussard and was very involved with the New Iberia Youth Football League. He was an avid LSU fan, enjoyed working out and loved his German Shepherds. He will be remembered and missed always by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Linda Derouen Thomas; his son, Alan Thomas both of New Iberia; his parents, Fred and Wanda Comeaux Thomas; two brothers, Todd Thomas and his wife Dawn, Mark Thomas and his wife Linda; and his sister, Debora Reeves all of Delaware, Ohio. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Odile Comeaux and his In-laws, Joseph and Mabel Guillot Derouen.

Pallbearers will be Todd Thomas, Mark Thomas, David Fritz, Butch Comeaux, Mark Von Mosch and Walter Thibodeaux.

Honorary pallbearers will be Allen Thomas and Bobby Gonzales.
