Steve "TuFlow" Segura

NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be celebrated for Steve “TuFlow” Segura, age 59, at 11:00 am Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Evangeline Funeral Home. Fr. Paul Onuegbe will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home on Wednesday from 12:00 pm until 10:00 pm, with the Rosary being prayed at 7:00 pm. Visiting hours will continue on Thursday from 8:00 am until time of services.

Steve was born December 15, 1954 in Lafayette to the late Ellis Paul Segura and Eunice Dore Segura. He passed away peacefully on Monday, July 14, 2014 at Iberia Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Steve, known by family and friends as “TuFlow”, worked in the oilfield industry with Howard Construction for many years. He was also known in the Horse racing circuit for his many years spent as a horse trainer. But it was his family that meant most to him. Steve loved the time he spent with his family and loved them all very much. He was a generous and kind hearted man that will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Lena Babin Segura of New Iberia; his children, Chris Segura of Mississippi, and Jolyn Segura Toutcheque (Edwin) of New Iberia; eight grandchildren, Brandon, Brittany, Tyler, Brooke, Chelzea, Gage, Devon and Siera Segura; two step-children, Amanda White and Joe White; two step-grandchildren, Kavon White and Kevin Francis; his brothers, Calvin Segura (Margie) and Rolling Segura (Brenda) of New Iberia; a step-sister, Doris Marin (Armondo) of Ft. Polk; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ellis Paul Segura, II.

Pallbearers will be Calvin Segura, Jr., Rolling Segura, Jr., Karl Segura, Gage Segura, Devon Segura, and Ron Lee Segura. Brad Segura will serve as honorary pallbearer.
