Stephen Earl Segura

NEW IBERIA – Memorial Services will be conducted for Mr. Stephen Earl Segura, age 66, at 1:00 pm Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Evangeline Funeral Home with Deacon Wade Broussard. Interment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum with military honors by VFW Post #1982.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am on Saturday until service time with a Rosary at 12:30 pm.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Segura passed away at11:38 pm on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at his residence.

Mr. Segura was a veteran of the US Navy who served his country honorably during the Vietnam War.

He was a mechanic with Trappey’s for many years; he enjoyed horses and was a member of the Sheriff’s Passe.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Janice Martin Segura of New Iberia; one daughter, Kimberly Segura Eschete and husband Paul of Cypress, TX; one son, Daymon Segura and wife Tricia of New Iberia; five grandchildren: Sidney “T.J.” Hebert, V; Davin Segura; Demi Segura; Hayden Eschete and Halle Eschete; one great grandchild, Sidney Hebert VI; his mother, Ruby Ray Libby of Kenner; and two brothers, Robert Segura and wife Theresa of Cleburne, TX and Kent Libby of Kenner.

He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Segura; Paternal grandparents, Policar and Palmire Segura; Maternal Grandparents, F.M. and Ruby Ray; uncles, Ed Segura and wife Dot and Francis “Facho” Segura and wife Mary and his cousin Douglas “Digger” Segura.
