Ronald James "Bookie" Boutte

Survivors include his wife Anna Laine Boutte’; his son, Joshua Boutte’ and wife Katie; five step-children, Christopher Boudreaux, Brent Boudreaux, Jeffery Matherne and wife Courtney, Debbie Romero and husband Kenny, and Donna Massari and husband Chris; two granddaughters, Joslyn Boudreaux and Keely Romero; a sister, Darlene Robinson and husband Steve; two brothers, Karl Boutte’ and wife Tina, and Craig Boutte’ and wife Alice; step-father, Lester Romero, Sr.; and step-sisters and brothers, Sharron Moss and husband Bob, Karen Chaney and husband Glenn, Lester Romero, Jr. and wife Cindy, Carolyn Simar and husband Joey, and Marilyn Neal and husband Wayne.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mazel Gardemal Romero; father, Gerald “Toke” Boutte’; uncle, Carroll Boutte’; and his grandparents, Joseph and Olive Boutte and Marcel and Linda Gardemal.

Bookie worked previously for Laine Construction as a crane operator, and was a painter. He had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and crawfishing. But most important to him was the love he had for his family. He was a devoted husband and father, grandfather, brother and friend to many and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
