NEW IBERIA –Funeral Services will be held for Richard Jason Breaux at 1:00 pm on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Evangeline Funeral Home. Fr. Keith Landry will be the celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday from 10:00 am until time of service at Evangeline Funeral Home.
Richard was born on January 31, 1986 to Richard “Dickie” James and Marie Hebert Breaux in Lafayette, LA. He passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at his residence in New Iberia at the age of 36.
A very loving child, brother, grandchild and nephew, Richard had a love for being outdoors. He enjoyed fishing with his dad, sitting in his rocking chair and crushing soda cans to earn spending money.
Some of his favorite things included a snack of Reese’s Peanut Butter cups and an orange Sunkist. Richard could often be found watching and singing along to Alvin and the Chipmunk’s and Teddy Ruxpin.
He will be missed dearly by his family and loved ones.
Richard leaves to cherish his memory his loving parents, Richard “Dickie” and Marie Hebert Breaux; one sister, Haley Breaux Babineaux and husband Jeremy; his twin brother, Randal James Breaux and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Members of the family will serve as pallbearers.
