Randy James Henry

NEW IBERIA – A service of remembrance will be held for Randy James Henry, age 54, at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Evangeline Funeral Home. Members of Randy’s family will preside over services by sharing their fondest memories of Randy. He will be laid to rest privately at a later date.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home on Friday from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm, and on Saturday from 8:00 am until time of services.

Randy was born December 7, 1961 in Dulac, Louisiana to the late Harold J. Henry and the late Francis Lee Henry; and passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Randy attended school at Raceland High School. He has worked his lifetime in the oilfield, most recently 13 years as a crane operator with Fluid Crane, and with various other companies at the Port of Iberia. Some of his pastimes included going to the casino, fishing and his favorite….cooking seafood gumbo and sharing it with everyone around. Randy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Randy is survived by his wife and best friend of 13 years, Wendy Broussard Henry of New Iberia; his children, Kellie Sanchez and fiancé Paul, Angel (T-Lee) Henry Taylor and husband Al, Brandy Lynn Henry and fiancé Chris, Randy J. Henry and fiancée Monique and Joshua T. Henry; his step-children, Danielle Landry and Jeremy Landry and wife Summer; and 14 grandchildren.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his in-law, Donald and Elgine Norris; his brother, Randean Henry; and his best friend, Daniel Sanchez.
