NEW IBERIA – A funeral service will be conducted for Patricia “Mrs. Pat” Miguez Hebert, age 73, at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Evangeline Funeral Home of New Iberia. Deacon Marty Cannon will officiate. Interment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum.
A gathering of family and friends will take place at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 am until the service time. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am.
A native of New Iberia and resident of Hemphill, TX, Mrs. Hebert passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Christus Southeast- Jasper Memorial Hospital in Jasper, TX.
Patricia, better known as Mrs. Pat, was born on November 14, 1947 to the late Elmo and Rita Miguez and was one of two children. She was a kind and loving woman who loved her family fiercely. Pat was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend and enjoyed every moment spent with family and close friends. She liked cooking, horseback riding, and the LSU Tigers. She also spent many years (until her retirement) as a devoted employee of Eric White, DVM. Pat will be truly and deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Vail P. Hebert; sons, John Albert and James Albert (Trish); daughters, Julie A. Bourgeois (John), Harley H. Barret (Scotty), and Kyeley Hornstein (Brian); brother, Cherryll Miguez; sixteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and Patricia’s Toledo Bend family, Michelle Lafferty, Terry Borrel, and Mary McBroom.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Skye Hebert; and beloved dog, Allie.
Pallbearers will be members and friends of the family.
