Nina Hebert Geoffroy

NEW IBERIA – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mrs. Lloyd Geoffroy, Sr., the former Nina Hebert, age 94, at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Fr. Mark Derise will officiate the services. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Delcambre.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Saturday until service time.

A native of Port Arthur, TX and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Geoffroy passed away at 12:35 am on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at her residence.

Mrs. Geoffroy was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. She was a very caring person who opened her home up to her very large family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Mrs. Geoffroy is survived by children, Gertie G. Robicheaux; Lloyd Geoffroy, Jr. and wife Jan; Ronald Geoffroy and wife Claudia; Bryan Geoffroy and wife Mandy all of New Iberia; Suzan G. Allen and husband Raymond; Joan G. Radford and husband Mike; Conway Geoffroy and wife Dianne; and Larry Geoffroy all of Lafayette; Dale Geoffroy and wife Jenny of Metairie and daughter in law, Margie Geoffroy Vincent of New Iberia. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Geoffroy, Sr.; one son, Carroll Geoffroy; one daughter, Elaine G. Cole; two sons-in-law, Kearney Robicheaux and Kenneth Cole; her parents, Sidney Paul and Adonesia Delcambre Hebert; one brother, Roy Paul Hebert; and one sister, Irene H. Viator.

Pallbearers will be her sons, Lloyd Geoffroy, Jr., Ronald Geoffroy, Conway Geoffroy, Dale Geoffroy, Larry Geoffroy and Bryan Geoffroy.

The family would like to give a special thanks to her wonderful and caring sitters.
