Mary Gary Dore

NEW IBERIA – Funeral services will be celebrated for Mary Gary Dore, age 74, at 10:00 am Monday, August 5, 2013 at Evangeline Funeral Home. Fr. Ed Degeyter will officiate. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home on Sunday from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm, and will continue on Monday from 8:00 am until time of services.

A native of Iberia Parish, and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Dore passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at her residence, with her family at her side.

Mrs. Mary enjoyed working word puzzles, playing computer games and most of all spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, Corey Dore and wife Faye of New Iberia, and Cynthia Rawlins of New Iberia; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and four brothers, Raymond Romero, Jimmy Gary, Gerald Gary and Adam Gary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. “Willie” Dore; parents, Adam Gary, Sr. and Nolia Maturin Gary; and her daughter, Collette Dore Sisk; three sisters, LouAnna Boudreaux, Theresa Gary and Marie Gary and two brothers, Jessie Gary and Louis Gary.

Pallbearers will be Corey Dore, Christopher Dore, Benny Rawlins, Jean Reaux, Kevin Gary and Chris Picard.
