Lynette Hebert Romero

Lynette was born April 18, 1974 in New Iberia to the late Felix Hebert and the late Ola Romero Hebert and was one of three children born to that union. Lynette graduated from New Iberia Senior High and worked briefly in the cafeteria's at both NISH and Daspit Elementary.

Lynette lived a simple life filled with the love and company of family and friends. She was a faithful parishioner of Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church. Her children remember their mothers love for the outdoors. She enjoyed walks and hiking, and sitting around a bonfire with her family. Austin told of his mothers dislike of cold weather, but that she absolutely loved being in the snow, and it brought a laugh and smile to all. Some of her other pastimes were relaxing on her sofa and watching Lifetime movies and Discovery ID shows, and keeping up with family on facebook. Her daughters recalled her spending time on snapchat with her grandchildren.

Above all, Lynette's greatest love was for her family. She adored and cherished the time spent with them. Her memory and legacy will live on in the hearts and thoughts of all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Joseph "Joe" Romero; her children, Andrea Carolyn Romero (Tyler), Angel Abbie Romero (Joseph) and Austin Joseph Romero (Amanda); her grandchildren whom she adored, Kylon Delcambre, Sophia Duval, Blaydon Duval, Amari Romero, Jensen Charles, Ja'Kayden Charles, Braylee Romero and Tyler Bourg; her brother, Randy Hebert; a very dear friend, Heather Anderson, who was like a sister to her; and her grandpuppy, Layliah Lynn.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, David Hebert.

A memorial mass celebrating Lynette's life will be held at a later date and announced by her family.
