NEW IBERIA – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Joseph C. “Joe” Little, Sr., age 79, at 11:00 am Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Fr. Mark Derise will be the celebrant and conduct the mass. Interment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church on Tuesday from 9:30 am until the time of the Mass.
Joe was born April 17, 1935 in Ft. Worth, Texas to the late Charles A. Little and Margaret Leonard Little, and passed away Friday, December 19, 2014 at his residence.
Joe was retired from Amoco with 25 years of service, and continued to do consulting work after retirement. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and a member of the Cruisin Cajuns, where he and his wife traveled extensively throughout the United States. Joe also loved his dog, Callie, very much and spoiled her all the time. But it was his family that meant most to him. He leaves behind many fond memories that will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Rosalie Hebert Little of New Iberia; his children, Joseph C. “Joe” Little, Jr. of San Diego, CA, Charles A. “Chuck” Little, Sr. and wife Patrina of New Iberia, Missy Little Dugas and husband Glenn of New Iberia, and Susan Little and companion Robert Griffin of Raceland; 10 grandchildren, Brittany Dugas Boutte (Coy), Ashley Dugas Rodrigue (Jason), Nikki Dugas, Alexie Dugas, Hunter Dugas, Ian Gondran, Victoria Gondran, Quintin Gondran, C.J. Little, and Abigail Little; 8 great grandchildren, Ashton Rodrigue, Nathan Boutte, Adalynn Boutte, Colton Rodrigue, Avery Chevalon, Kamryn Gondran, Collin Gondran and Aubreigh Chevalon; and nieces, Ann Kurts, Ann Marie Howard and Cecilia Abarado all of Houston, TX.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his great granddaughter, Gracie Elizabeth Boutte; brother, Charles A. Little, Jr.; and sister, Mary Ann Little Kurtz.
Pallbearers will be Joe, Chuck, and CJ Little, Hunter Dugas, Quintin Gondran and Glenn Dugas. Honorary pallbearers are Robert Griffin, Ian Gondran, Coy Boutte and Jason Rodrigue.
