Interment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum in Loreauville with flag presentation by the Iberia Veteran’s Honor Guard.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Sunday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Monday until service time.
A native of Lake Dauterive and longtime resident of New Iberia, Mr. Courville passed away at 7:50 pm on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at his residence in Lake Dauterive.
Mr. Courville was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a carpenter by trade and a longtime musician in his band Country Bumpkins’ and many others. He enjoyed volunteering his time playing music for the residents of the surrounding area nursing homes’and loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Nettie Matte Courville of Lake Dauterive; three sons, Bryan Courville and wife Janet and Timothy Jude Courville all of New Iberia; Brad Courville and wife Sarah of Youngsville; daughter, Sabrina Lilkendy and husband George of Albany, New York; step-children, Juanita Leleux of Erath; Terry Jane Latour and husband Jacques of Broussard and Daniel Leleux, Sr. of Parks; seventeen grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren and two sisters, Dorothy Bailey and husband Bobby of Houston, TX and Mary Ann Breaux of New Iberia and his former wife, Margie D. Courville of New Iberia.
He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Courville; Stepson, Kerry Leleux; parents, Julius and Euphrasie Bonin Courville and two brothers, Fernest Courville and Artelus Courville.
Pallbearers will be Timmy Courville, Brad Courville, Bryan Courville, Tyler Curtis, Jamie Curtis and Henry Curtis. Brennan Brown will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
The family would like to express their gratitude and thanks to the nurses, staff and team of doctors of Lafayette General Medical Center, Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care. A very special heartfelt thank you to CNP, Nancy A. Scheneider and her staff at Raymond Schneider Memorial Clinic in Loreauville.
