Lucille, as she was affectionately known, was born February 17, 1932 in Utica, Mississippi to the late Joe Audrey Jackson and the late Znobia Kemp Jackson and was one of eleven children born to that union. She was retired from the Daily Iberian having worked in various departments throughout her 15 years.
Outside of her work, Lucille enjoyed a simple life, albeit filled with everything that mattered most to her…her family. Her children were her world and many wonderful memories were made through the years with home cooked meals and her famous banana pudding. She was also “everybody’s Granny” with an extended family that loved her dearly.
Some of Lucille’s favorite pastimes were gardening, sewing, entertaining family and friends and reading her Bible. She leaves a legacy of love and a lifetime of cherished memories with those who knew and loved her. Until we meet again. We love you.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Donnie White (Kathy), Sherry Jeske, Gary White and Connie Louviere; 19 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and her sisters, Vera, Mary Louise, Eloise, Betty, Faye, Linda and Gail.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Hunter White; three children, Lester White, Mary Creel and Jimmy White; her granddaughter, Jennifer Elizabeth Jeske; and her siblings, Kitty, Joe Dee and Larry.
