NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be conducted for Brandon James Viator, Jr., age 17, at 2:00 pm Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Assembly Christian Center with Rev. Paul Neel officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home from 10:00 am until 1:30 pm Thursday.
A native of New Iberia and resident of Opelousas since October; Brandon passed away at11:45 pm on Friday, April 7, 2017 in Opelousas, LA.
Brandon was a member of Assembly Christian Center Church and member of the ACC Student Movement. He was a junior at Northwest High in Opelousas.
Brandon was a very caring and giving person who was always striving to accommodate his family and friends. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, riding his bike, skateboarding and most recently hunting. Brandon will be remembered as the kind young man wearing a hoodie and listening to music with earbuds in his ears. His favorite things to eat were Ramen noodles and peanut butter even if a hot home cooked meal had been prepared.
Brandon touched many lives and he will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his mother, Cora LeBlanc and fiancé Damien Prudhomme of Opelousas; father, Brandon James Viator, Sr. and wife Frankie; four brothers, Gage Arnaud and Denton Shea Prudhomme both of Opelousas, Vance Viator and Peyton Viator of New Iberia; and one sister, Braelynn Viator of New Iberia; Maternal Grandparents, Bryan and Jeanette LeBlanc of Gardendale, TX; Maternal Great Grandparents, Romeal and Emilda LeBouef of Youngsville; Paternal Grandparents, Kim and Tammy Viator of New Iberia; Paternal Great Grandparents; Raymond and Darlene Boutte, Sr. and Gerald and Geraldine Viator, Sr. all of New Iberia and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents, Eastin and Inez LeBlanc.
Pallbearers will be Bryan LeBlanc, Sr., Erick Arnaud, Carl Miller, Rocky Boutte, Micah Viator and Chris Stoltz. Leavin Rosette, Dillan Thibodeaux and Kensiee Touchet will serve as honorary pallbearers.
