NEW IBERIA – Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Richard W. Oliver, the former Betty Ann Pepper, age 77, at 1:30 pm on Monday, March 1, 2021 at Evangeline Funeral Home. Fr. Alexander Albert will conduct the services. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery in Jeanerette.
A visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 am until time of services at Evangeline Funeral Home in New Iberia.
Mrs. Oliver passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Ochsner Acadia General Hospital in Crowley.
She is survived by her son, Gerald Paul Oliver of Crowley; six grandchildren, Jim Oliver; Shannon Oliver Vidalier; Rochelle Oliver; Zeraka Meche; Jodie Sharrow and Brandy Joiner; five great grandchildren and one brother, Paul Pepper and wife Pam of Houma.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard W. Oliver; one son, Michael Anthony Oliver; her parents, Arnold and Una Mae Derise Pepper; two brothers, Arnold Pepper and Roy Pepper and two sisters, Clara Lapointe and Mary Dubois.
Members of the family will serve as pallbearers.
