Betty Jane Babineaux

Funeral services will be conducted for Miss Betty Jane Babineaux, age 72, at 11AM Tuesday, October 27, at Our lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. Fr. Ed Degayter will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home in New Iberia Monday October 26 from 4PM till 8PM with rosary at 6PM. The funeral home will reopen Tuesday October 27 at 8AM till 10:30AM.

Betty was born in Youngsville, LA and resided in Coteau most of her life. She was recently a resident of New Iberia Manor North where she passed away the morning of Friday October 23rd.

She completed eighth grade at Coteau Elementary. She then attended Arc Angel Daycare for many years where she was a soloist for several Christmas Plays. She attended mass regularly with her parents where she enjoyed reading mass prayers and singing church hymns.

Her loves were visiting family and friends, listening to and singing along with her favorite music, and going out to eat.

She is preceded in death by her mother Elinda Romero Babineaux, father Clarence Antoine Babineaux, and nephew Wendell Babineaux.

She is survived by her sister Sherry B. Romero, brother C.J. (Clarence) Babineaux and wife Judy F., nieces and nephews Clarence and Rodrick Babineaux, Teresa Olivier, Courtney, Steven, and Ryan Romero.

Pallbearers will be Rodrick Babineaux, Ryan Romero, Zachary Olivier, and Christopher Olivier. Honorary pallbearers are Clarence Babineaux and Steven Romero.
