Barbara was born to the late Euzebe and Elvina Olivier Jeanminette and was the youngest of five children in their loving family. She grew up surrounded by the warmth and care of her siblings and parents in a close-knit community.
Barbara, lovingly known as "Bob" to her many nieces and nephews who adored her, was a source of joy and inspiration in their lives. They fondly recalled her love of music and cherished memories of her dancing through the house. Barbara's vintage silver Christmas tree was a holiday delight that she shared with her family, creating lasting traditions and joyful gatherings.
As a talented seamstress, Barbara skillfully crafted all of her own clothes and had a particular passion for embroidery. Her creativity and attention to detail were admired by all who witnessed her handiwork.
In her youth, Barbara worked as a Scale Clerk at the Jeanminette Brothers sugar cane farm scale house in Grand Marais, where she worked alongside many of her family members, contributing to the community that she loved.
Barbara's life was defined by her kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith. Her warm smile and compassionate heart touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
May she rest in peace, reunited with her loved ones and embraced in eternal peace.
She leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her siblings, Gabriel Jeanminette, Anna Mae Olivier, Gladys Jeanminette and Ernest Jeanminette.
