Alberta Brown Davis

Bobbie was born May 10, 1918 in Marianna, Florida to the late Joseph Franklin Brown and the late Georgia Smith Brown. She was a very giving and caring mother, stepmother, grandmother and friend who lived a life filled with love for her family. It was the time spent with them that meant most to her and those times will forever be cherished. She will be missed dearly.

Bobbie is survived by her children, Sarah Bourque and husband Howard of New Iberia and James Edward Matchkus and wife Nell of Panama City, Florida; four step-children, Betty Jones and husband Hayward and Jackie Rose both of Dothan, AL, Barbara Thomason and husband Clarence of Leary, GA and Ronnie Davis of Alabama; 18 grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Davis; her parents, Joe and Georgia Brown; and her sister, Estelle Sauls.

Memorial services will be held at a later date with Bobbie being laid to rest at Holy Family Mausoleum.
