Ann Drolet (nee Bousson), age 97, of New Hyde Park, formerly of Flushing, NY died peacefully in her home on March 7, 2014. "Anna Florence Bousson" began her amazing journey when she was born at home in Long Island City, the second of four daughters. She was proud to be a high school graduate and worked as an executive secretary to the president of Magnetic Analysis. Ann married her basketball playing sweetheart Tom in 1940 and began her family soon after. She lovingly cared for her in-laws while raising nine children. She was an extraordinary woman with a wonderful sense of humor. Her children thought she could do anything. She helped create the perfect school projects, designed and sewed the ultimate Halloween costumes and baked incredible peach-apricot pies. Ann took up her husband's hobby of golf in her 60's. With their children grown, they were finally able to enjoy nights out on the town and many vacations with friends. Ann touched so many lives with her generous nature and will be greatly missed.
