We are saddened to announce the passing of Mary Esther Harty of Plymouth, MN at the age of 96 on May 2, 2023; Mary was surrounded by family members. With her passing, Mary reunited with her husband, Tom and their baby girl, Benita. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Julia Deutsch from Bemidji, MN and Fargo, ND, and her 10 siblings. Mary is survived by her children Ann, Joe, John, Jerry, Monica, Jimmy (Lisa), and Judy (Bob). Mary was rewarded with 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Mary was the matriarch of her family, a family that has been in the Plymouth/Medicine Lake area since the mid-1960s. Mary started her professional career working on the railroad in Fargo, ND, met and married her husband while living in the San Francisco Bay area, and ultimately returned to Minnesota where she worked for Minnegasco for almost 30 years. Mary was a devout Catholic, and consummate organist/pianist who played throughout the Twin Cities over 6 decades. Services are being held at 1100, Monday May 8th at St. Joseph’s Church in New Hope, MN.
Serving as pallbearers are Jerry Harty, John Harty, Jimmy Harty, Joe Harty, Bob Hartka, Josh Harty and Mike Quiggle.
