John was born in Minneapolis, MN and served in the US Air Force. He retired from NSP (Xcel). John was a longtime member of Compass Lodge No. 265, Scottish Rite, Shrine, and Order of Eastern Star. He was also a dedicated volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Dona; infant son, Kevin John; siblings, Thaddeus, Edward, and Sophie.
John will be deeply missed by his children, Erik Galant and Kerstin Devens; grandchildren, Caden, Keira, and Bailey.
Masonic and Eastern Star Services at 7pm on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at Robbinsdale Compass Lodge, 4228 West Broadway, Robbinsdale.
Mass of Christian Burial at 11am on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Community, 8701 36th Ave N, New Hope, with visitation one hour prior. Interment with military honors at Gethsemane Cemetery, New Hope.
