Dennis Edward Snyder of NE Minneapolis passed away on Monday, August 28th at the age of 73. He was born on April 6th 1950 in Eureka, California. He held many jobs over the years. As long as I knew him, he worked as a taxi driver for Yellow Cab, then a dispatcher for Blue and White Cabs until covid hit and he chose to retire.
He was a lover of music. His favorites were jazz, blues and honky tonk. Mel Torme, Jack Teagarden, and Bobby Flores were some of his favorites. On the weekends, He loved going and listening to the local bands playing.
He was also a lover of sports. He was a fan of all the local Minneapolis teams with the Twins, Saints and Timberwolves being his favorites.
He is preceded in death by his Sister, Patty Hosch, Mother, Alma Snyder and Father, Cecil Snyder
He is survived by his Daughter, Kara Tomlinson. Sister, Judy Maurer and Brother, George (Janet) Snyder. Grandchildren, Samantha Tomlinson and Kassandra (Dipper) Tomlinson. Plus, Nieces and Nephews.
The family would like to thank The Villas at the Cedars for the care and compassion they showed him in his final days.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at Kapala Glodek Malone Funeral Home, 7800 Bass Lake Rd, New Hope, MN 55428 on Saturday, September 23rd at 12 noon with visitation beginning at 11AM and at Shaw’s Bar and Grill 1528 University Ave NE. Minneapolis, MN 55413 a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations towards his final resting place would be greatly appreciated.
